Today I wanted to touch on something very important but something that many of us (myself included )  tend to overlook or push aside……and that is taking time to take care of ourselves…nurturing and replenishing our inner spirit.

What have you done lately that you thoroughly enjoy and feel wonderful afterwards?

Yoga, Meditation, Walking, Exercise, Read a book, do you enjoy crafts, cooking….it can be something very simple like brushing your dog.  I know I love brushing my dog…I may put off doing it at times but I know that during and afterwards I get a feeling of peace that comes over me and stays with me for some time through the day.

We tend to get so caught up in our work, our everyday lives…just living that we let ourselves get too busy for our own well being.

We have always been told what we should or shouldn’t be doing.  Were you ever told to listen to your heart…your inner self…not too often were we?  If you are feeling overwhelmed, over worked, confused or drained then now is the time to take notice.

I’m a bit of a workaholic since I work from home for myself….I’m my best employee !  Well yesterday my grandaughter was here..she is 7 1/2.  I had some work I had to take care of on my computer…some emails that needed answered…well she comes into my office and asked if I’d go outside with her and watch her ride her bike.  I told her I had a few more minutes of my work to do and then I wanted to clean the dinner dishes up and then we would go.  She went back out in the living room to watch some tv and wait.  I took care of my emails, came out…looked at the dishes and said “ya know what…dishes can wait…lets go outside.”  Big Smile on her face and out we went.  She started riding her bike, I was watching her and I looked over and saw quite a few weeds had grown on the side of the house so I started pulling them.  That sense of peace & calm came over me and I started remembering how much I always enjoyed working in the yard…in the dirt..whether it be planting flowers or pulling weeds.  This was something I rarely did anymore.

What made it even better was my grandaughter quit riding her bike and came over and started helping me……we talked and pulled weeds for about an hour.  We also uncovered a small bed of snapdragons we had planted and that had become totally invisible from weeds.  While rescuing the flowers my grandaughter found a lady bug.  You would have thought she found a million dollars.  I just sat there and enjoyed watching and feeling her excitement at such a little thing.  She is a real nature lover.  It was the most rewarding 60 minutes I had spent that day.

I guess I just want to put a reminder out there to you and others that it can’t be all work…and no play.  You need to not only take care of your physical body with nutrients, exercise and proper rest….you also need to fuel your mind & spirit.  It all works together.  When one is not properly taken care the others will suffer.

So take action today….what fuels you…where do you find that peace?

Spending time with family or friends…Walking/Exercising…Reading a good book…Affirmations…watching a good comedy….listening to your favorite music (I love music !  one of my favorites )

How about taking one day and don’t schedule anything in particular….don’t even look a the clock all day….try that out…you might feel so darn good that you’ll make it a weekly or monthly ritual.

Just sitting for 5-10 minutes and doing some deep breathing can calm and relax you, helping to eliminate any stress and also set your body into a healing mode.

Start today and begin caring for YOU….don’t think you are being selfish becasue YOU MATTER !  and you can’t help anyone else if you are not  feeling wonderful.

Now Go !  Enjoy yourself today…make it a  Good HABIT !

Blogging is still the safest way to generate leads, sales and sign ups.  I just have to share something with you real quick today that I have recently discovered that is completely changing how I’m marketing…And I think it’s very important that I inform YOU about this, because it directly affects YOUR marketing as well!

As you know, over the past 3 years I have been learning all I can about marketing online.  If you are like me, you have probably been learning and implementing some of the so-called “free” internet marketing methods like article marketing, video marketing, social web 2.0 networking, HubPages, Squidoo, and so forth.

But, do you know what I just found out?!

That even though you CAN get some results using these type of methods; the hard pill to swallow – is that ultimately, you DON’T have control over how long they are out there and how many prospects they actually reach!

In other words:

You somewhat “get what you pay for” using these free marketing methods because you do not own them; and when you don’t own or pay for something – you truly have less control over what happens to your content.

And that’s NEVER a good thing!

This has already happened to people in my niche market, and I refuse to let someone
else have control of MY marketing…

Imagine my surprise when I found out I was deficient in Vitamin D.  I take quite a few natural supplements and try to eat healthy.

During a recent visit to my doctor he decided to do a check on my Vitamin D level.  He said that they were finding that a vast majority of people living in Pennsylvania were deficient due to more clouds than sunshine.

Sure enough…when the results came back my level was low..not terribly but the reference range was 32.0 to 100.0 and mine was 22.8.  He prescribed me 1 capsule of Vitamin D 50,000 units per week for 8 weeks and now on a maintenance dose of 1.000 units per day.

I learned that although the recommendation is 400 to 800 IU per day that some doctors suggest between 2,000 to 4,000 a day and some naturopaths suggest you can take 5,000 IU per day to maintain optimal levels.

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that is essential for many of your body’s functions, including normal bone growth and overall health.  Vitamin D3, or Cholecalciferol is the preferred form of the nutrient.  It is the form that is found naturally in animal food sources and as a result of your skin’s exposure to the sunlight.  In addition to being a very important part of supporting calcium absorption, Vitamin D may support many other areas of your health including cardiovascular, cognitive, neurological, blood sugar, breast, colon, thyroid, joint to name a few.

While Vitamin D may be obtained through healthy food choices and is manufactured by your body when exposed to the sun, many people, including the elderly, vegetarians and those living in colder, cloudy climates may require additional supplementation.  I have learned that to get a sufficient amount of sun daily a person would need to lay out in the sun in the nude daily for a half hour ….uhhh  not happening here. LOL.

I wanted to share this with you as you may want to consider having your Vitamin D level checked at your next doctor visit.  As we all know that most vegetation grown these days is just not as packed with the nutrients that they once were years ago so it makes it necessary to take additional supplements.

I am not suggesting that you run out and buy a huge bottle of Vitamin D and take mega doses.  I wanted to pass this info along to make you aware so you can check into it..do some research and make an informed decision regarding your health.

Hello my friends

I would like to share with you what a huge difference this little device has made in my life.

I am so grateful for The Whole Wellness Club adding the Avazzia products to their product line.

Last year September 2009 I reached into my dishwasher…a simple task I do numerous times daily and I felt an intense pain in my lower back.  It took me several minutes to be able to stand straight and even then I was in a lot of pain.  This pain became more severe throughout the day that I could barely walk and a few hours later actually ended up on the floor in terrible pain.

Our immune system is our first and last line of defense.

Over the past few days I’ve passed along important information about pH balance, what glutathione is…. the importance of this most powerful antioxidant and now today the importance of a strong immune system.

The article below about pH balance is very good but can be a bit technical for most (including myself) so  I’ve always found the best and simplest way to explain pH to someone is using the example of a swimming pool.  Now not everyone has a swimming pool but they still get the idea.  In a swimming pool the pH has to be within a certain range for the pool water to remain crystal clear and bacteria free.  When the pH is out of balance, either high or low the water becomes cloudy, can have a strange odor and unsafe to swim in because of bacteria growth.  It can become cloudy and/or green from algae growth.  So similar to our bodies….if our pH control is not properly balanced then we do not feel well and bacteria and disease can begin to grow and thrive in us.  The biggest problem most experience is being too acidic.  I hope this was helpful as well as the following info.

Although it is generally accepted that pH is the inverse logarithm of the concentration of hydrogen ions, the concepts of this almost mathematical definition are virtually impossible to understand. What it really means is that pH tells us the quantity of hydrogen ions in a solution and more specifically, for what concerns us here, in the human body. Hydrogen ions have a positive electric charge and there is a constant state of equilibrium between these and other hydroxide ions which have a negative charge. The result of this interplay is that the quantities of both in a solution will always remain constant (ionic result), because if one rises then the other must inevitably fall. When the number of “hydrogen ions” rises, the positive electrical charge will rise and the negative charge, in the form of OH or “hydroxide ions”, will fall. In such a case we say that we are in a state of acidosis and, in the opposite case, when the negative charges predominate, we would be in alkalosis. As we can easily deduce, the oscillation of these electrical charges creates an electromagnetic field and this is the first moment in scientific medicine that such fields are mentioned. In physics, a magnetic field is defined as that place in space where electromagnetic forces occur and, since Maxwell the concepts of electrical charge and electromagnetic charge have been intertwined. So when we speak of pH, we are also speaking of electromagnetic fields due to the oscillation.

Every living biological system, be it an ant, a plant or a bacterium, even a single cell, is therefore an electromagnetic field fluctuating between positive and negative charges, and owes its life to this motion.

This motion can only be explained by the living organism’s drive to escape a state of charge, be it negative or positive, to find repose or, in other words, electro-neutrality; Absence of charge would mean the end of biochemical motion, which would be the same as death. If we call that fruitless drive “life” and the absence of that compulsion, “death”, then we could conclude that all organisms seek death. Following along these lines, we could define “life” as the eternal quest for electro-neutrality or “death”. As it happens the precise point of equilibrium is never found, so the organism ends up moving continuously from one state of charge to its opposite. In other words, it is like a scale of unbalanced equilibrium in which the organism is forced to make constant back and forth oscillations. As this fluctuation in pH continues over 24 hours, each oscillation must be not only of equal amplitude in each direction, but also of equal speed. As such, the system always leans either towards alkalosis or acidosis, in each case giving rise to different illnesses.

Imbalances in this system are found in almost all human pathologies, even more so in adult and senescent life. Only by regulating this system, when it is in an imbalanced state, can health be restored.

The Importance of Glutathione

Glutathione is a master antioxidant, an important line of defense against diseases, toxins, viruses, pollutants, radiation and oxidative stress. Low glutathione levels are linked to diseases such as Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, AIDS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Atherosclerosis, pregnancy complications, male infertility and Cataracts. 12. Unfortunately, Glutathione taken orally is ineffective due to the stomach acid breaking the protein down. The body sees glutathione the same way it sees meat. Nonetheless, many glutathione supplements are being sold since the many benefits of glutathione are becoming well known. People buying glutathione supplements are wasting their money since this amino acid is broken down in the stomach the same way the stomach acid breaks down meat for digestion.

13. As with most things in life, it is true here as well: talk is cheap. Many companies claim their products increase Glutathione inside the cell. However most companies have no scientific evidence their products increase intracellular Glutathione. They will say the ingredients in their products should increase Glutathione.

14. Everyone that wants to increase the Glutathione inside their cells should only use products that are clinically proven via real third party studies (i.e. double blind placebo controlled studies). Then the consumer can take their Glutathione accelerators with confidence that their Glutathione is actually increasing. Glutathione is the body’s master antioxidant and protects all cells.
